THE FACES AND STORIES BEHIND THE HARD WORK THAT IS NOM LANCASTER
Hetal PaTEL
PRESIDENT
After a decade long battle, Hetal lost her brother to an overdose (including fentanyl). A few weeks after his passing, she found herself lost & alone; still struggling to understand addiction as a disease. Through some research she found herself in a support group that guided her to acceptance, to forgiveness. And through that group she found herself volunteering for Not One More York Chapter. She has been volunteering and participating in events with this incredible organization since 2018; and believes she has met some remarkable individuals, became more educated on addiction, and found healing with the support of NOM. She hopes to do the same for those struggling with substance use disorder and their loved ones; it truly is a family disease. This organization has helped her in more ways than she can express, and she strives to be that support for others.
